Our photography, video, and social media professionals create content that breaks through the clutter, using images, sound, and innovative techniques and strategies to engage our audience and teach them something new about UConn. The multimedia team supports all aspects of our operation, from UConn Today to UConn Magazine, recruitment to research work, athletics to institutional branding, Instagram to official websites, and everything in between.

Our photographers bring the UConn brand to life, capturing the essence of UConn in 76,000 frames a year. Whether we're recording quintessential UConn traditions, world-class speakers, and state-of-the-art classrooms, or everyday occurrences and official staff headshots, we take the same care to reflect UConn's vibrancy and quality in every sense.

You live it. We capture it. The stunning visuals and emotional facets of many UConn stories are best expressed through multimedia. Striking a perfect balance between informative and fun, we create dozens of videos each year that range from 15-second Instagram shorts to minutes-long narratives that underscore the driven, intelligent spirit of the University. Through skilled camerawork and creative editing, we share everything UConn with hundreds of thousands of viewers: our winning athletics teams and adorable mascots, unique clubs and activities, groundbreaking research and high-achieving students, and more. Social Media
UConn's social media experts reach upwards of 114,000 Facebook fans, more than 107,000 X, formerly known as Twitter, followers, and over 110,000 Instagram followers through the University's official institutional accounts. With a distinctly UConn voice, we use these and other emerging media tools to enhance the University's reputation, increase visibility for our initiatives, engage new audiences, and promote news and accomplishments. We also offer social media training to groups throughout the University, maintain University social media guidelines, and provide resources for University employees who manage official UConn social media accounts.
